Standing on the edge. Chill wind in your face and a stream beneath your feet. One step and you're taken over by the waves. Waves carrying the blinding bits of light on their tips. And the sound, the sound of it all, hurried by the wind, surrounds you, takes over you and fills you from tip to every toe. It brings fear mixed with fascination, with a distant thought of how small you are and yet how integral of a part you are of this whole. Makes you wonder, is this how love would be? (the real love, for how real our love can be in the world where most of our feelings are expressed through organized lighting?) Would it take you over just like this stream beneath your feet? You can see the other side of it and yet you feel that this sight ahead of you is so much bigger than you! Wave after wave, bits of light blinding the eye, mesmerizing, almost magical.
A provincial highway.
